- Dramatic war film, among the first to be shot at Cinecittà, celebrating key fascist themes and events like the Italian aviation, the Ethiopian war, and male heroism, but with romantic overtones. The protagonist Luciano Serra was a pilot during WW1 and emigrates to South America in 1921; he returns to Europe to fight in the Ethiopian war, and he dies as a hero to save his son, also a pilot fighting in the conflict. Vittorio Mussolini, a pilot himself, supervised the shooting.
